Syed Ibrahim Gnani Peer Mohamed (He/Him/His) serves as a Postdoctoral Associate within the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from NIT Karnataka, India. In November 2020, he joined the PSE and TCIL research groups at UNL. His mentors in this role are Professor Mona Bavarian and Professor Siamak Nejati. His present research endeavors revolve around two primary areas: the synthesis of Ionic Covalent Organic Frameworks (iCOFs) and the vapor-phase synthesis of COFs, both applied to energy and environmental applications. Prior to commencing his Ph.D. studies, Syed accumulated valuable experience as a Scientist at a Pharmaceutical R&D center, where he worked diligently for six years.
